Compensation of Induced Thermal Effects

Abstract
Based on the basic Bragg equation, the Bragg wavelength shift is a function of neff, the effective index of refraction of the fiber core, and L, the modulation period of the index of refraction. As shown elsewhere in this book, both parameters are functions of strain and temperature. Therefore, the equation can be further expanded into the basic FBG equation.
