The birefringent homogeneity measurements of large-scale optical components are important on the growing and
manufacturing of high-power laser materials. We make an analysis of phase errors in the radial direction by spherical wave based on a two-dimensional measurement with spherical mirror. A calibration method is proposed to compensate the radial phase errors to improve the measurement precision for large-scale birefringent crystals. Polarization states and intensity distributions are derived with Mueller matrix in detail and analytic solutions for radial phase errors are calculated out.
