Traditional tunnels often suffer from problems such as uneven lighting, high energy consumption and air pollution, which pose challenges to drivers' visual perception and driving safety. Therefore, we hope to improve the safety and comfort of drivers by introducing new technologies and methods to improve the light conditions, energy efficiency and air quality of the tunnels. The purpose of this study is to improve the light difference between inside and outside the tunnel, weaken the "black hole" and "white hole" effect, realize intelligent energy saving, and improve the air quality in the tunnel through air purification device by using the PWM wave dimming mechanism, the retroreflection principle and the energy storage self-luminous material based on millimeter-wave radar monitoring. The information we collect is transmitted to the network system terminal through the 5G communication module to achieve remote monitoring. In addition, we use digital twin technology to realize the three-dimensional reality roaming function, and patrol and monitor the entire road section. Through the monitoring and control of the PWM wave dimming mechanism based on millimeter-wave radar, we can effectively reduce the energy consumption of tunnel lighting and realize the intelligence, energy saving and safety of modern tunnels. The results show that our method has significant effects in improving tunnel lighting conditions, improving energy efficiency, and optimizing air quality, and the technology is expected to be popularized and applied in other scenarios.
