Abstract
The micro-Doppler effect can be used to extract target parameters. In addition to the line Doppler effect, the additional angular Doppler effect generated by vortex electromagnetic waves can effectively solve the problem that the lateral motion of the target cannot be detected. This paper focuses on the estimation of ballistic target parameters in the vortex electromagnetic wave regime. Firstly, the radar target echo model is derived, and the linear Doppler effect and angular Doppler effect of the target are investigated separately. Secondly, a ballistic target parameter estimation method is proposed, which combines the time-frequency map and high-resolution range profile of the target and uses the strong scattering center information to extract the target's micromotion parameters and geometric parameters effectively. The simulation results prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.
