Course Instructor
SC840: IR Detector Cryocoolers
This course provides attendees with a basic understanding of all relevant aspects of tactical cryocoolers including working principles, efficiency, reliability, temperature stability, EMI, and vibration. Different types of tactical cryocoolers such as integral and split rotary, conventional and flexure bearing type split linear, and Pulse Tube type coolers are introduced. Their systematic advantages and drawbacks are discussed in detail. You will become fluent with choosing the best type of cryocooler for a specific system.
