Polarization beam splitter is an important part of many optical systems. The polarization beam splitter based on meta surface has the advantages of high efficiency, large splitting angle, wide bandwidth and easy fabrication. Here, we propose a double-layer Metal-Dielectric-Metal (MDM) structure. Through the periodic arrangement of metal nano bricks, the length and width in the nano brick are used to realize the independent control of the reflection phase of the orthogonally polarized light. The top and lower antennae are in charge of the anomalous reflection in the VIS and NIR spectral band, respectively, which render an ultra-broadband polarization beam splitting meta surface with a spectral bandwidth of 500-1400 nm, exhibiting an average anomalous reflection efficiency over 60 %. We hope that our design can provide a new solution for the realization of ultra-broadband beam splitter based on meta surface.
