Port promotes economy to grow rapidly, but causes certain damage to ecological environment. For the sustainable development of the port, the construction of green port is a very wise choice. Taking Shanghai Port as an example, this paper discusses the development of Shanghai Port based on the green port evaluation index system of Analytic Hierarchy Process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, and puts forward corresponding suggestions, in order to provide certain reference value for the better and faster construction of a green port in Shanghai. Firstly, this paper introduces the background of the topic and the significance of the research, including the background of green port and the differences between the evaluation methods of indicators. Secondly, the green evaluation index system of Shanghai Port was constructed, and the green index of Shanghai Port in 2019 was evaluated fuzely by expert scoring method and membership function. Through the analysis of the fuzzy evaluation results, it is concluded that the green development level of Shanghai Port in 2019 belongs to the "average" level, which indicates that Shanghai Port is in urgent need of improving the green port construction. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on the green development of Shanghai port from the involved responsible subject industry, government and society.
