Time variant gain active disturbance rejection control for DC microgrid based on expert system

DC microgrids play a significant role in the effective utilization of distributed power generation. However, there is a problem of real-time disturbance affecting the control effect of bidirectional DC-DC converters, which deteriorates the power quality in DC microgrids. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a variable gain expert self-disturbance rejection stabilizing control strategy. Firstly, a expert system is designed based on the state observer theory and organically combined with the extended state observer. A dynamic adjustment factor is introduced to achieve online optimization of the observer gain. Secondly, expert rules and variable gain self-disturbance control strategy are developed based on the observation absolute error and control strength demand during the disturbance rejection process. The range of dynamic adjustment factor values is provided. The theoretical analysis is conducted in terms of observation tracking performance, disturbance rejection frequency domain characteristics, noise suppression, and the impact of time variant gain on the system's disturbance resistance. The results show that the proposed control strategy can effectively improve the system performance. Finally, simulation and experimental verifications are carried out, and the results demonstrate that the variable gain expert self-disturbance rejection control outperforms the traditional dual-loop PI and LADRC control under various operating conditions
