I am working for my PhD candidate in the direction of optical engineering. Being a member of SPIE has been given me a greater interest in learning optics and photonics and meanwhile given me a platform to encourage me to be optics women like such many distinguished women. The SPIE student membership has offered me the opportunity to know about the development in the field optics.
