Vyacheslav Kalchenko, MD, Ph.D, FRMS, is a Senior Research Fellow and a Head of Optical Imaging & Translational Bioengineering Unit at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.
He has more than 20 years of R&D managing experience in the industry and academia, including supervising the world-class multiuser core facility at the Weizmann Institute of Science. His main research interests are focused on the conjunction of Neurovascular Imaging and Advanced Machine Learning. He pioneered various advanced imaging techniques: TOVI - Transcranial Optical Vascular Imaging, Multimodal Fluorescent & Laser Speckle Imaging, Noninvasive Blood Clot Testing and many others. He is the author or co-author of over 100 research and invited papers in the top peer-reviewed scientific journals, conference proceedings and book chapters, and he is an invited speaker and lecturer at the major international conferences and leading universities worldwide.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Microscopical Society, Senior Member of SPIE and member of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.
