Tim Stadelmann is Head of the Epitaxy Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics IAF in Freiburg i. Br., Germany.
He studied physics at the University of Cambridge in England and earned a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford in 2007, working on magnetotransport phenomena in InAs/GaSb compound semiconductor heterostructures.
In the following years, Dr. Stadelmann worked as a Systems Engineer for Kulicke & Soffa Industries in Switzerland and Singapore, taking on various roles in the product development of complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
He moved to Fraunhofer in 2012 to renew his scientific interest in the InAs/GaSb material system and establish small series production readiness of the advanced superlattice imaging sensors for the mid-infrared developed in Freiburg.
